Whether You are mid-life like me, about to graduate from college in the spring, or heading for retirement, You can always make a U turn. If You are unsatisfied or find yourself complaining about your life, a U turn is exactly what you need.
Dreams You had for Yourself that You have not met, go back, make a U turn and accomplish them. Many of us were told we could not do that, or we were not qualified enough, or it was not the right time, or You are too old or You are too Young. Whatever or Whoever put a thought into You that You cannot reach Your dream, take Control of Your Life and Make a U Turn.
Now, this U turn will probably require determination and hard work. You are essentially going backwards to the dreams You have not lived. Maybe you have spent years living someone else’s dream. Maybe Your mother or father wanted You to work in a specific industry, so they paid for you to go to college and life went on from there. Maybe You grew up in an environment where college was not in the vocabulary, so of course, no one expected You to live Your dream.
The tools to make a U turn will need to be gained. I suggest heading for the skill or craft that makes You the happiest. The sky is the limit. You are not limited by anything or anyone. That invisible voice which has followed you throughout the years, tell it to shut up.
When You live Your OWN DREAM, You do not have time to be a hater. I think You will find that Your life is more fulfilling. If You find yourself becoming grumpy or complaining, reflect, re-evaluate and refocus. Make sure since You have done the hard work to make the U turn, that you don’t backslide, stay authentic and true to Yourself.
Some questions to ask Yourself while making the U turn. What are my likes vs. dislikes, what motivates me vs. what makes me upset, what am I passionate about vs. sitting around with no plan. The U turn requires You to live the life You really are, it quit possibly could be the first time anyone gets to see the Real You. Do not let it stop You.
Living Daily with regret is the worst. I do not care if You are Young or old. If You have unfulfilled wishes and You have breath, You can change up things to live Your dream. Oh, and also, Your dream does not have to be world famous, it may not even be a visible thing. For example, I love helping people, it makes my day when I lay down and know I have done something to make someones life easier. Usually no one even knows about it and that is O.K.
So, is it Your time to make a U turn. My wish for all of You friends in 2016 is that together we each figure out Who We Really Are. If You need a U turn, go for it. It might take a few tries, there may be peer pressure not to change or even failure, SO WHAT, if You keep trying in the end You will be fulfilled and there is nothing better in life than to find Your purpose.
